This Privacy Policy explains how Eczema Flare & Itch Tracker ("the App"), published by AI Motion Studio, handles information when you use it on iOS. The App is an educational eczema diary, EASI/POEM scoring tool, ingredient-label scanner, and (with Pro) an AI flare-grading and pattern-insights companion. It is not a medical device, does not diagnose, and does not replace a dermatologist.
None. The App does not run an account system, does not collect identifiers, and does not transmit any analytics, advertising IDs, or personal data to AI Motion Studio.
The following data is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad and never leaves it unless you explicitly trigger a Pro AI feature:
Uninstalling the App permanently removes all of this data from your device.
If you subscribe to Pro and explicitly tap an AI button (AI Flare Grading, AI Eczema Coach, or AI Pattern Insights), the App sends data to Google's Gemini API:
Each request is gated by a per-feature consent screen the first time you use it (per Apple Guideline 5.1.1(i)). Google processes the request under its own policy: policies.google.com/privacy. We do not store these requests on any AI Motion Studio server.
If you enable the daily flare-risk forecast, the App sends your approximate location (city-level latitude/longitude) to Open-Meteo to retrieve local humidity, temperature, wind, and pollen data. Open-Meteo does not require an account and does not log requests against an identifier.
The App requests camera access for photographing eczema patches and for scanning product ingredient labels (on-device OCR via Apple Vision). Photo library access is requested if you choose to import an existing photo. All OCR happens entirely on-device — ingredient text never leaves your iPhone.
Subscription processing is handled entirely by Apple via StoreKit. We never see or store your payment information. Apple's privacy policy applies: apple.com/legal/privacy.
The App is rated 17+ because of medical and treatment-related content. It is not intended for children under 17. Parents tracking a child's eczema should do so under their own Apple Account.
The App contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking technology of any kind.
The App is an educational and tracking tool. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace a licensed dermatologist. Always consult a qualified clinician for medical decisions.
